Valentine’s Day Sweet Treat Recipes
With the special day just around the corner, it’s time to start planning what kind of treats you’ll be making for your special people this year. Here are some of my favorite Valentine’s Day Sweet Treat Recipes I think you’ll enjoy making AND eating! Most of them are heart-shaped and colored Pink, White or Red. Could you just bake a red velvet cake? Yes, you could, but these recipes are really festive and kitschy – just like a Hallmark Valentine’s Day Card!
So let’s get to it!
Chocolate Cherry Poptarts via Tinselbox
Pastry, Chocolate, and Cherries oh my! Don’t let the word “Poptart” put you off, these beauties have everything for everyone! “Poptarts” might sound enticing to your kids, but you could still tell your colleagues they’re “pastries.” I LOVE that she makes the real pastry dough instead of buying store-bought, which would probably be totally fine if you’re short on time. You will need a heart-shaped cookie cutter for this recipe.
Valentine’s Chocolate Pretzel Bites via Mom Fabulous
These pink & white pretties are made with white & dark chocolate and are the perfect combination of salty and sweet – the best of both worlds! What I love most about this recipe is that it only has 4 ingredients and is really fun to make with kids! You do need the right sprinkles though.
(They also make for awesome gifts when packaged up in these cute Valentine’s treat boxes!)
Easy Gluten-Free Strawberry Linzer Cookies via Fearless Dining
I LOVE this gluten-free option! And they’re really pretty to boot! It wasn’t too easy to find heart-shaped cookie cutter sets, but I finally found the perfect solution.
Valentine Raspberry Meltaways via Moneywise Moms
Have tons of fun making these delicious pink, white and red Valentine’s shortbread cookies with your kids this year!
Chocolate Buttercream Cookies via Hearth & Vine
It’s not easy to find chocolate Valentine’s treats, but I got lucky with this one. This recipe for chocolate heart-shaped sandwich cookies is easy to make with your little helpers. What child doesn’t love cutting out and frosting cookies?
